Public administration reform in discussion with the experts of the EU Project Support to Public Administration reform processes in Moldova

On 23 May, experts of the EU Project Support to Public Administration reform processes in Moldova presented a Preliminary Report on the progress in the field of public administration reform.

 

 The discussions focused on the achievements in the implementation of the Strategy for Public Administration Reform for 2016-2020. The experts positively assessed the results of the optimization of ministries and subordinated structures, the optimization of work processes at the level of public administration and the harmonization of budget planning and document flow procedures. In particular, progress was made in strengthening public service delivery as well as expanding IT platforms.

 

At the same time, they presented a series of recommendations for the next phase of the reform, which is specifically aimed at strengthening the capacity of public administration employees.

 

The EU project Support to Public Administration reform processes in Moldova is aimed at strengthening the institutional capacity and professional development in the field of public administration, supporting public authorities in improving the legal framework for public administration reform, developing more efficient policies, restructuring and modernizing the administrative system.
