On 23 May, Secretary General Lilia Palii had a meeting with the representatives of the World Bank Mission on monitoring the Second Competitiveness Enhancement Project, led by Mr. Tarik Sahovic.
The representatives of the World Bank greatly appreciated the results obtained in the implementation of the Automated Information System for Management and Release of Permitted Acts, launched under test regime in the second half of 2018. From the total of 152 permissive acts, at the moment, there were elaborated, approved and tested passports for 128 permissive acts or 84% of all permissive acts. 43 permissive documents from the 128 tested are issued through the Single Window, and 17 permits issuing authorities out of a total of 31 authorities issue permissive documents through SIA GEAP (55%).
Another success noted by the development partners is the increase in the level of application of the "regulatory impact analysis", with an increase rate of 80%.
The interlocutors discussed the immediate and forward-looking actions on the implementation of the project components, including the application of the new Regulatory Impact Analysis Methodology, the launch of adjusted technical versions of the "State Control Register", capacity building activities of the interested public institutions. The support agenda will be aimed at supporting the efforts of the executive authorities to reduce administrative barriers to the business environment and improve the quality of public services.
Ms. Palii reiterated the appreciation and gratitude for the partnership results, recalling the firm commitment to further implementing regulatory reform and improving the business climate.
