Strengthening the capacity of public administration authorities in planning, developing and implementing the policies discussed in the State Chancellery

On  May 20th, the Steering Committee of the EU project  Strengthening of the policy development process in the context of the  implementation of the Association Agreement in Moldova took place.

 

The agenda of the discussions focused on the events that took place between October 2018 and March 2019 with regard to the size of the national planning and policy development system. The results obtained, the resources involved in the expertise, the challenges, as well as the actions to be taken for the next period of activity were reviewed.

 

General Secretary of the Government, Lilia Palii, reiterated the importance of the planned actions within the project, noting that it is an essential tool of expertise and support for the public authorities involved in the process of public policy development and consultation.

 

The project is a part of the financing agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union on the programme of support for the public administration reform and was launched in autumn 2018 for a period of 2 years. The aim of the project is to support the improvement of efficiency, effectiveness and accountability of the CPA and the LPA in the development and implementation of policies and the provision of high quality public services.
