Published on: 28/05/2019

Today, May 28, a joint working meeting of representatives of the State Chancellery and the National Agency for Food Safety was organized.

The participants in the meeting discussed the progress made in the implementation of measures on Moldova's rapprochement with the EU standards in the sanitary and phytosanitary sector, as provided for in the Moldova-EU National Action Plan. The association agreement for 2017-2019 is expected to be signed in 2017-2019.

The participants in the meeting agreed to step up efforts to create the necessary conditions for Moldova, in order to benefit from the possibilities of exporting livestock products to the European market within the DCFTA, which is part of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement.

It is worth mentioning that the EU remains a strategic market for Moldova, with a 70% increase in exports on the EU market.
