15 specialists enhance their knowledge in planning, monitoring and reporting on anti-trafficking policies

On 26-29 November, the International Organization for Migration in partnership with the United States Embassy’s International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Section (INL) in Moldova and the Directorate of the Permanent Secretariat of the State Chancellery held a seminar On Enhancing the Government’s Counter-Trafficking Response and Improving the Protection of Victims of Trafficking and Witnesses in the Republic of Moldova. In this context, 15 specialists have improved their knowledge in the field of planning, monitoring and reporting to combat trafficking in human beings.

 

Among the participants of the seminar there were representatives of the General Prosecutor's Office, Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases, Center for Combating Human Trafficking, General Inspectorate of Border Police, Bureau for Migration and Asylum, Ministry of Justice and the International Centre "La Strada".

 

An international expert and a national expert participated as trainers and shared their experiences on key concepts and elements of results-based management, best practices and drawn conclusions by analyzing the existing planning, monitoring and reporting mechanism of the national anti-trafficking policy.

 

The workshop was organized for the implementation the National Strategy for Preventing and Combating Trafficking in Human Beings for the years 2018-2023 and the Action Plan for its implementation, 2018-2020.
