Moldovans from diaspora, who are returning home in August, have nice surprises entering the country. At the border crossing point they receive a tourist pass, which includes discount coupons, valid between August and October 2018.

The event is part of the national campaign "Be Our Guest", which promotes hospitality as the main feature of the Moldovan people. The citizens of the diaspora are invited to be tourists at their home, being ambassadors of tourism and they can invite other guests and tourists to the Republic of Moldova.

There are 12 virtual tours of wineries tourist lodges and other attractions available on the 360.moldova.travel portal, in order to facilitate travels through Moldova. The diaspora is urged to post photos and videos with travelling  impressions on social networks, indicating locations and using hashtags - #visitmoldova  #beourguest  #fiioaspetelenostru for promoting tourist destinations.

The purpose of distributing this passport is to mobilize members of the diaspora to discover and promote the tourism potential of the Republic of Moldova, in line with the Tourism Development Strategy 2020 and the National Strategy "Diaspora 2025".

The Moldovan diaspora returning to the country on holiday will be able to benefit from discounts on products and services provided by the economic agents from the wine and tourism industries, during the months of August - October 2018, due to the tourist passport.
